EXECUTIVE PROFILES

Farooq Mehboob founded S. Mehboob & Company in 1980 and heads the current practice of 55 people with over 200 projects to his credit. A Mechanical Engineer by profession his 35 year experience covers all areas of engineering focusing on advanced building MEP design and technology, building operation and maintenance as well as project management. He is a member of ASHRAE USA and Refrigeration Service Engineers Society USA and both Pakistan Engineering Council of Engineering and Consulting Engineers.

Farhan A. Mehboob has nearly 12 years of experience in all areas of mechanical and plumbing design including HVAC, piping, fire protection and plant room design. He is also experienced in project management focusing on coordination of mechanical and electrical systems. Being involved in over 80 projects of S. Mehboob & Company, his responsibilities consist of detailed design, tender documentation, specification and supervision of works. Farhan A. Mehboob is a registered Mechanical Engineer of the Pakistan Engineering Council and is currently chairman of the Karachi Chapter, Pakistan HVACR Society.

With over 8 years of experience Maroof A. Mehboob has been largely responsible for the development of the Electrical Prospectus for all commercial and industrial projects at S. Mehboob & Company. Leading the Electrical Department his work has encompassed all aspects of building electrical engineering including power distribution, emergency power, lighting, security, fire alarm and multi low voltage systems. Maroof is also equipped with a speciality in task specific Lighting Engineering which has application in Interior Décor and energy conscious environments. His responsibilities consist of detailed design, tender documentation, specifications and supervision of Electrical works. He is a registered member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE), the Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers (IEEE), Illumination Society of Pakistan, British Engineering Council, Pakistan Engineering Council and a member of the executive committee of the IEEE, Pakistan, Karachi Chapter.

Mr. Shaaf Abdul Aziz Mehboob has been with S.Mehboob & Company since early 2003. Shaaf completed his undergraduate degree in Economics (with honours) from the U.K in 1998 after which he took up a career in the field of Investment banking services at Union Bank of Switzerland. After a three year stint in Financial services he moved on to pursue a Masters in Business Administration. Upon completion of his degree, Shaaf joined S.Mehboob & Company and has been with the firm ever since. Aside from heading Finance and managing routine financial activity, he is involved in business development for the group. He also manages SMC’s business/investor relations within Pakistan and overseas.
